There’s a new international school being built in Bangkok. It’ll be the first K-12 Mastery school in Thailand, and it’s set to open its doors in 2020.
We’ve been asked to create the digital infrastructure the school needs to operate. And that’s why we are now staffing a 4-person Programme Management Office (PMO).
The PMO’s responsibility is to make sure the school digital ecosystem gets operational on time and on budget. And the Product Owner is there to give direction for some of the turnkey solutions required to help run the school.
Everything needs to be built from the ground up. That includes the personalized curriculum that the students will follow as well as an amazing new school campus.
Some of these systems will require turnkey solutions. Others will require the PMO to discover, create, and improve custom software.
For you, this means a lot of responsibility. We are aiming to obtain turnkey solutions for at least 80% of the system, it’s your job to help with the identification, prioritization and management of these turnkey solutions.
Admissions started in May 2019, will fully launch PR this September, and will open in May 2020. And while that might seem like a lot of time, you’ll have a lot of ground to cover.
If you care about revolutionizing education, this is a great opportunity to leverage your existing skills and make a tangible difference in the lives of the thousands of children that will attend this new school.
It’s also a great opportunity to learn and apply Design Thinking and Systems Theory, as well as the Lean and Agile methods that we use to continuously deliver value.
